Overview & Highlights

Welcome to Sushi Train North Cairns, where the vibrant flavors of Japan meet the tropical charm of Cairns! Nestled at Shop 5 & 6/217 Sheridan St, this conveyor belt sushi restaurant offers a delightful dining experience that captivates both locals and tourists alike. With a welcoming ambiance and friendly staff who greet you warmly in Japanese upon arrival, an authentic experience awaits every visitor.

One of the standout features of Sushi Train North Cairns is its impressive array of sushi options, crafted with the utmost care. The menu is a treasure trove of delights, boasting an assortment of vegetarian rolls such as the Asparagus Roll and Cucumber & Avocado Roll, perfect for those seeking plant-based choices. The creative chefs also whip up exceptional aburi dishes, including the Aburi Salmon and Aburi Wagyu Beef. I was particularly drawn to the Salmon Volcano Ship, which has garnered rave reviews from customers for its bold flavors and addictively spicy mayo.

Feedback from diners like Amulya and Eduardo speaks volumes about the freshness of the ingredients and the quality of service. Guests are delighted to find that every plate served is a testament to culinary excellence, with some mentioning the surprisingly affordable pricing. Imagine enjoying two dinners and two drinks for under $80—it's a treat that doesn't break the bank!

The experience doesn’t stop at sushi; the dessert selection is equally tantalizing. The Blueberry Cheesecake is a must-try, and the variety of jelly flavors provides a unique sweet end to your meal. Each dish is a masterclass in flavor, and as Mauro noted, the Udon at a promotional price of $8.80 is something you simply cannot miss.

While there’s always room for more variety on the belt, such as the elusive taco wasabi that some regulars crave, the consistently high quality of the offerings keeps patrons coming back. Whether you’re a sushi aficionado or a novice, Sushi Train North Cairns promises an unforgettable journey through the flavors of Japan, all while enjoying the lively sushi train experience.

So, if you find yourself in Cairns, make sure to roll into Sushi Train North Cairns for a delightful meal filled with warmth, freshness, and culinary creativity!

Visitor Testimonials (931)

We were visiting Cairns and this was our first restaurant and I am impressed! The taste and freshness exceeded our expectations. The staff were extremely friendly and our order was served quickly. The Salmon volcano here is a must try along with spicy mayo tuna and Blueberry cheesecake. Could introduce more variety but whatever is served is done right.

The sushi is excellent! And the Udon is in promo for $8.80 and is really good. Recommended!

Had dinner here during our holiday in Cairns and my partner and I absolutely LOVED everything. When you walk through the door, the whole staff greets you in Japanese, and when you leave they all say thank you loudly in Japanese. Service was outstanding and friendly. The food was of a very high quality and prepared with care. Price was very good, too! 2 of us paid less than 80 dollars including 2 drinks. We didn't check the price of the plates either (we were on holidays so we went all out). We're just sad we aren't local to this place because we'd go again every week!

Whenever I visit Sushi Train, this is the place I always go to because it's far from home but delicious. It's a shame they don't have my favourite taco wasabi, but they have halibut fins, squid and gnatfish, so I always come back. I'm sure once they have more variety in their sushi rolls, they'll be the best sushi train in Cairns. The best sushi train in Cairns.
